Child Trafficking

Both across our borders and within our own communities children are being trafficked, exploited and enslaved as sex workers, criminal gang members, cheap labourers and domestic servants. 

Shockingly, in recent years children as young as 3 have been identified as victims of human trafficking here in Wales. At this very moment children and young people are suffering unspeakable atrocities as modern day slaves in both urban and rural communities across Wales.

But here’s the problem - child trafficking is a crime that is hidden in plain sight. Therefore while we can’t see it we don’t necessarily believe it. And while we don’t believe it we certainly won't stop it! It’s like they say - ignorance in bliss! And traffickers are banking on our ignorance.

But child trafficking is happening in Wales.

If only our eyes were open to it…
